Match Madness raises over $11,000 for community foundation

WASHINGTON, Kan.— The Washington County Community Foundation hosted a Match Madness giving day on Tuesday, May 7, 2019.

Donors contributed a total of $9,035 to the foundation funds of their choice. These tax-deductible donations were matched at 28% from a pool of $2,500. Including the matching funds, the event raised a record-breaking total of $11,496.40.

Match Madness is designed to generate new gifts to endowed funds held at the community foundation. Endowed funds are permanently invested to produce a steady stream of income to provide ongoing support for charitable needs in the county.
